Looking Forward Our Way: Brad Griffith – How Tech Breakthroughs Are Supercharging Nonprofits and Small Businesses!

Brad Griffith, Founder and CEO of Buckeye Innovation, recently joined hosts Brett Johnson and Carol Ventresca on the Looking Forward Our Way podcast to talk about how technology can strengthen — not replace — human connection in nonprofits and small businesses across Central Ohio.

Drawing on his background growing up in a veterinary family, Brad shared what led him to found Buckeye Innovation with a mission of equitable tech access for every business and organization. The conversation covered digital equity gaps in broadband and device access, real-world projects like the ConnectUs Coalition portal, Goodwill Columbus, and the BESA volunteer platform, and how AI is reshaping workforce development and hiring. Brad also offered a simple gut-check for any organization considering new technology: identify the real bottleneck first, and ask whether the tech actually serves your mission.

As Brad put it, “The perfect tech is something that enhances human connection and gives us more time for those human aspects of life.”
