Education and Nonprofit Work
Equitable Access to Technology.
At Buckeye Innovation, equitable access to technology isn't just something we talk about; it's part of everything we do. We find creative ways of providing education, funding, and partnership to the organizations and individuals that don’t usually have access to expert technical help.
Here’s what that looks like in practice:
Education
Our team brings expertise in web development, coding, graphic design, content strategy, and more. Fun fact: about a quarter of the Buckeye team used to be teachers before transitioning to tech, so we actually know how to explain this stuff. If there’s a topic your community needs, we can build a class or workshop around it.
Here are of the education initiatives we’ve been involved with recently:
Grants
Did you know Buckeye Innovation helps organizations with writing grant applications? It’s an unconventional role for a For-Profit business, but that’s what equitable access to technology looks like in practice.
We work on grants in a few different ways; sometimes we’re a subcontractor, sometimes we’re the primary applicant, and sometimes we receive our own funding for education initiatives. Whatever the structure, our goal is the same: help organizations answer the “what, how, and why” of technology in their applications and reporting. We speak both tech and nonprofit, and we know how to bring the two together.
Here are a few examples of grant-funded work we’ve done:
Unique Partnerships
Sometimes the most impactful work doesn’t fit a standard model — and that’s okay with us. We love finding new ways to make things work.
Let’s work together.
We’re open to innovative ways that help organizations access the best web and mobile technology. If you’re trying to figure out how technology can work for you or the people you serve, we’d love to have a conversation!
