NEW ALBANY, Ohio ( Oct. 17, 2011) — Buckeye Interactive was recently approved as the first Ohio training partner for Acquia, the world’s most trusted Drupal development agency. Acquia’s global network of Education and Training partners deliver public and private on-site classroom Drupal training courses for users and developers.
Buckeye Interactive developers Brad Griffith and Rian Rainey were tested with curriculum that addresses a wide range of Drupal design and development topics. “Drupal’s fast growth means there’s a huge demand for knowledgeable Drupal users at all levels, but the relative scarcity of training resources could hamper the pace of Drupal adoption,” said Tom Erickson, CEO of Acquia. “As the enterprise guide for Drupal, we felt the Acquia Training Program was a must have for the industry.” Buckeye Interactive plans to offer central Ohio training courses varying in degree difficulty.
Introductory sessions, such as Acquia’s “Hello Drupal!” are aimed towards beginners with an interest in getting their online presence jumpstarted using Drupal’s open source system. Additional hands-on workshops will be offered for intermediate to advanced users with some developer experience to learn how to create a custom Drupal theme or module. Both Brad and Rian plan to presenter as Acquia Training Partners at Ohio’s first annual DrupalCamp in December.
