Mansfield Richland County Public Library (MRCPL) needed to redesign their main website. Their old site was not user friendly and difficult to navigate. Additionally, they were having difficulties in maintaining the site and updating content, as the options for their page templates had limitations and little flexibility.
Our content team performed a content inventory and audit, as well as a gap analysis, to help come up with a strategic plan. With the data from this, they were able to simplify the site’s navigation, thus allowing for a better user experience and flow. They also provided strategic direction on the kind of content that should live on key pages, utilizing hub pages to help with the flow of information.
From there, our design team created clean, modern mockups, helping the site to feel uncluttered. Our site builders proceeded to build the design and provide templates with Elementor, and training was also done with the client, thus addressing MRCPL’s need to be able to easily maintain the site. And our developers worked to ensure all functionality that the library would need ran smoothly, from event management to library catalog.
The result was a library website that was easy to navigate and maintain, and better able to serve those who use MRCPL’s services. With this, MRCPL continued on as a support client, and is even in the process of building a new library application with Buckeye Innovation. Stay tuned for more exciting updates from this partner!
