New Albany’s recent certification as a city carries with it a new web address: www.newalbanyohio.org.

The website will also have a few new features, including videos, a technology blog and a dedicated mobile website.

“We felt our site was designed well and a good visual representation of our brand,” said communications director Scott McAfee. “But we wanted to add all of the social-media platforms we’ve implemented and include other tools that can help create conversations between New Albany staff and those that we serve.

New Albany hired Buckeye Interactive in late 2010 to update the website. Updates include improvements to the home page, links to the city’s electronic newsletter, a link to the “Innovate New Albany” technology and entrepreneurship blog and an expanded list of contacts and frequently requested forms.

Buckeye Interactive, which is a New Albany-based web-development and interactive-marketing company run by president Brad Griffith, also created a separate website that will adapt online communications and forms for viewing on mobile devices.
