The Buckeye Innovation team is thrilled to be joined by six interns this summer! Their invaluable experiences and perspectives play a crucial role in supporting team members and getting hands-on experiences in our projects; get to know them below!
Ashvi Dhorajiya
From Surat, India, Ashvi joins our team as a recent graduate from The Ohio State University with a degree in finance and a minor in social psychology. In her free time, Ashvi enjoys singing, hiking, and painting, and is currently working on an Alpine flower painting series, inspired by her travels. One day, Asvhi hopes to learn how to paint simultaneously with both hands!
Here at Buckeye, Ashvi brings a unique perspective on the business development side of our team. She’s looking forward to contributing to smoother revenue cycles by building tools that make deal generation/revenue forecasting more predictable and sustainable.
Bárbara Martins
Bárbara, originally from Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil, is currently a second-year grad student pursuing her master of Fine Arts in design research and development. Bárbara loves the outdoors, hiking, and camping. She’s always ready for a quick break from the city, or a longer vacation exploring local culture and full days on the trails.
Bárbara is looking forward to seeing how the Buckeye Innovation team builds internal and external products. Since she’ll be working on product commercialization this summer, she’s excited to mix her design background with business strategy. Her goal is to help with the go-to-market process, making sure the products Buckeye launches are great for the users and also make sense for the business.
Caroline Lanning
Caroline joins us from Columbus and is a rising senior at Columbus School for Girls, and is interested in pursuing business and engineering fields. Caroline plays varsity basketball, volunteers at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, and enjoys exploring new places when she travels! She also just ran her first half-marathon, the Ohio Health Cap City Half.
Caroline is excited to have the opportunity to connect with others, learn new skills, and gain hands-on experience this summer. She is looking forward to developing projects and web/app design, and is grateful for this experience in software development, problem-solving, and project management.
Garret Travers
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Garret is a recent graduate from The Ohio State University, with dual degrees in political science and journalism and minors in German and music. Garret spends his free time writing and playing music, watching movies, and traveling. During his time at OSU, Garret’s A Capella group, Buck That!, went viral on TikTok for serenading students on their birthdays.
Garret is thrilled to be working with a skilled team of individuals with such unique lived experiences in order to make more tangible impacts in the community. Through product development and social media projects, he looks forward to highlighting the phenomenal internal and external work at Buckeye Innovation!
Jack Seymore
Joining our team this summer from Gahanna, Ohio, Jack is a rising sophomore at the University of Richmond, studying business administration. Jack can be found on the basketball court, volunteering at his local Storypoint Senior Living Center, and spending time with his friends and family.
Jack is excited for the learning opportunities that this summer at Buckeye Innovation presents him. He is looking forward to learning the complete process of business, client relations, and how websites and apps are developed, monitored, and built.
JJ Weixel
JJ is a rising junior at The Ohio State University, pursuing a degree in computer science engineering, and mathematics. From Cleveland, Ohio, JJ loves to scuba dive. His diving expeditions have taken him to the Florida Keys, and he would love to see the ocean in other parts of the world as well.
This summer, JJ is super excited to learn the ins and outs of web development from such a wonderful team! He looks forward to applying the skills he’s gained in a way that benefits communities through the services that Buckeye Innovation provides.
